Hey there, thanks for taking the time to read my post. So I'm on my 2nd grow, the first one went pretty damn well and I expected my 2nd to be even better. So far, not the case. I'm growing Caramelo, Trainwreck (Homegrown), Missing (Eva Seeds), and Pineapple Express (G13) under a 600w dimmable HPS (I am using a Digilux HPS for veg). The ballast is turned down to 75%, which should be around the equivalent of 400w. The light is about 2 feet from the canopy. FFOF soil in 3.4G airpots (these pots are awesome looking, btw). This is the end of week 3 of veg, and I haven't fed them any nutes until I recently gave them 1/2 strength FF big bloom, a low dose of cal mag, liquid karma, some bio weed/bio root/bio marine. I ph all feedings and watering to 6.5. I'm using tapwater that's been left out for at least 24 hours. The temp is around 78 and the humidity is at 50%.
On 3 of the 4 plants, I'm getting some degree of dried up leaves with a little discoloration as well. The Caramelo has it the worst, followed by the trainwreck and then the missing. The pineapple express is as happy as can be. Some of the leaves have literally dried up to the point where you could crumble them between your fingers...they're curling up and in. At first I thought that the light might be burning the leaves, so I raised it up to 24" above the canopy. The new growth on the Caramelo is coming in quickly, but it's a really light almost lime green color. Not a deep rich green.
Since all of the plants are in the same soil, under the same lights, and were given the same nutes, my hypothesis is that it's a nutrient issue, since the pineapple express is doing fine, and the plants are displaying varying levels of this issue. Was the FFOF too hot for the some of the strains? Too early to give them the nutes? Everything went off without a hitch last time (was growing a Special Kush #1 and a Kandy Kush x Skunk). Should I back the light off to 50%? I'm not sure what to do, and any help is appreciated.
Any idea what's going on? Thanks in advance.
