I know I just made a post about 25 minutes ago, but I really have a lot of specific questions about my set up to make sure I'm doing everything right. For starters, I just planted my seeds yesterday for the first time using a hydroponic grow box. The box has a water bubbler/aeration unit that sits in the tub to give the plants oxygen once they start to grow roots. I planted 4 plants inside the box and I'm just waiting for them to germinate and show leaves before I switch the light on and start the vegetation stage of growth. If anyone can help guide me through this process, it'd be MUCH appreciated. Thank you!

its no wonder it stays dark around here for days otherwise seedlings wont sprout?

germinate them first, like soak in a jar of water till they crack open then into some kind of plug to get them rooted then to the unit you have, or take pics so we can see the thing try to grab hydroton rocks

Bro, I would go with proven germination techniques, scattered all over RIU.

Beans are not cheap unless bagseed and go left field easy.
But I've read on here that you CAN germinate seeds this way. The soil thats holding the seed is damp enough for the seedling to absorb water. I turned the light on as you suggested and it will now be on a 18/6 schedule along with the fan. Why would it not germinate in these conditions? It's the same as the paper towel method, just inside a box.

What's the temp of the media?
The pods that you see aren't hydroton. They're little soil pods I got from Lowe's. I placed the seeds in the soil yesterday and the soil is kept damp from the bubbling water underneath. It's about room temperature.
