these are growing in net pots with rock wool cubes. water is 61 degrees, ph is 5.5, room temperature is 73 degrees, using GH 3 part solution, with GH rapid start.

the plants look healthy but for some reason the roots are not passing the net pot and not hanging down. this is my first time growing hydroponics and im regretting it already, so many little things to watch out for. maybe ill get it right.

but can somebody please tell me why my roots are growing like they are supposed to?

at this moment i been watering once a day until the roots got bigger so that i got water them a couple mins every 4 hours or so but we havent got to that point yet. everytime i pick the net pot up water starts dripping out tho. anybody have an answer?

strain is an unknown sativa dominant. and martian mean green. the MMG are the much bushier ones.

i want to say(and hardly heard of) that your res is too cold. below 64 can stunt growth. my clones have 8-12" roots 2 days after going to veg.

for veg and first 2 weeks of flower a slightly lower ph allows the plants to get more of the elements it needs at that stage. 5.5-5.6 is great.

so what could be my problem that my roots are not growing properly. could my room temperature be too cold at 73 degrees? could it cause this? i mean overall the plants look healthy and great but damn. its been 3 weeks with no long roots growing :( :( :(

i wanted to show you my roots at 3 and 17 days. the brown is from liquid karma. im a big believer in beneficials and found pondzyme, that is similar to great white but much cheaper.

what it looks like to me is that the roots get long and dry out. but the rock wool cubes are still very wet. but wouldnt the roots that are hanging get water from the rock wool cubes or no? how many times should i water the rock wool cubes a day?

also im using GENERAL HYDROPONICS RAPID START. first time user so i duno, hasnt showed me anything yet, but at the same time something is not right in my room thats not causing good growth of the roots

seems like they are getting there. one thing you will have a hard time doing is stopping nature. roots will find water.......and food.... or die trying.

at first people tend to do too much....... let time and nature take its course..

just a little tip..... giving the plants less of what they need in terms of nutrients at first is always better..... roots have a system that has been in place for 1 billion years........their roots seek out food when its not enough of it...... you will grow faster bigger roots with slight deprivation than satisfied lazy well fed plants. and big roots means more nutes and bigger fruits

ok im seeing progress finally. anyboy kno how my watering schedule should be for the 1 cm rockwool cubes? im all over google and cant find nothing. thanks
