Please help answer my questions!!

Hi, I have been reading this forum for awhile now but have decided to post......I am in the process of setting everything up still. So far I have an aeroflow2 60 site system, 1000w hps/mh, 400w mh, 120 site ez cloner and a 6 bulb, 4' T5. The 1000w is hooked up to 6" duct work and a can fan with a carbon filter....oh yeah am working with a 12x12 room.

Now for my questions!! I want to run an SOG setup....how many mothers will I need? How hard is it to build a small room for the mothers in the same room? I also have another room but is only 4' tall. I was thinkin bout using that with the T5's and the ez cloner in there. Or should I also put the mothers in the 4' tall room and use the 12x12 for flowering only??? Also I am starting from seeds....anyone have suggestions for me? It's greatly appreciated!

I have 2 mothers that are about 35 inches tall, and i can cut about 10 clones off of them each every 4 weeks. I use a t5 at 18/6 + 2 cfl's. every strain is different though.

I'm using DP blueberry and DP white widow seeds

First things first, get those seeds started. You will have to grow those seed plants out to be mothers, and you'll have to root/sex a branch from each to thin males, and the resulting female mothers will have to be grown out enough to produce 10 good viable branches for cuttings. Then when those are rooted they will go into your AeroFlo.

That will be about 3 months from now.

I bought all feminized seeds....do you think it's safe to start pullin clones as soon as possible as long as I know which clones came from which mother??? Or is there a good chance for failure with feminized seeds????I have everything pretty much setup now...Are you saying you would start them all with soil???

I was just trying to give you an idea about the time involved. You've got at least 2 months before you'll have plants to go into your AeroFlo. Even with feminized seeds, you'll need to verify sex before going into production.

lol, I ment what am I supposed to keep the mothers in? I dont have a seperate system....so I had this idea...tell me what you think....I have about 20 seeds. What if I sprout all of them but keep them in a location where I can label each one. Then I will immediatly start pulling clones off them while still labeling every plant individually so I know it's origin. Then if I find any hermy or males then I would know which ones to take out and which "mothers" to take out.....What do you guys think on that theory?????

Yeah, that's pretty much the way you have to do it. Good theory!

When you take a batch of cuttings to go into production, you should take them all at once, so they are uniform in size when they root and start growing.

I have so many questions in my mind that I'm still unsure of but I need to figure it out because this weekend I'm starting everything....How hard would it be to build something to hold my 120 ez cloner with t5 and my 400 watt mh to hold the mothers? My aeroflow60 only takes up like 4x6 out of my 12x12 room. Thanks for any help!!!!
