So I have decided to buy a grow tent and Hps light. my question is do I need 2 different bulbs for the Hps like one for veg another for flower?

Its all personal preference... some veg with MH and some veg with fluorescent and switch to HPS for flower... some run HPS all the way...
I personally do MH for veg and HPS for flower... but I've only done one grow so I'm not much help ahah
Typically though MH will make for tighter nodes and less stretch

It's mh for veg. HPS for flower. That's the textbook answer
The second answer is if you have to pick only one you go with hps. You really need that hps for flower more than you need mh for veg

Its true, mh for veg and hps for flower. But, all you need is hps. Your veg plants will do just fine vegging under hps. If money is an option id just go with a hps wich you can get for 35 bucks a bulb.

or you could use a dual spectrum hps bulb for veg and flower
