theres no alternative in my local grow store for my fan cpm... :/ maybe i should get an ona to help a bit?
Couldn't hurt. It would buy you some time to figure the problem out. Have you looked for any holes in your ductwork if you're using some? I know a lot of people use the foil like dryer ductwork and it can tear easy. I suppose that doesn't explain why you only noticed the smell when the lights are off.

Is it a " Green " smell, like fresh cut grass ?

If it is, its the plant is exhaling Chlorophyll. I notice it a lot too. But the stanky stank smell never escapes my carbon filter, neither does the Chlorophyll, but I notice it at lights out sometimes.

Dont try to get me to explain the science cuz I dont have a clue, but I half quoted someone else from another forum when i noticed it and asked too.

AS long as the stank smell isnt noticable, your filter should be sound. I was just in my room and i took some cuttings out of the tent that were in a propagator, just 1 minute out of the lights and in the dimly lit room, i noticed them stinking shortly after, I think when they rest, if theyve had more light than they need, they relerase oxygen and stink of Chlorophyll.

Just my 2 pennies bro.
