plants were fine under 400w light until i put them under 1000w and they wilted

ok i had my clones under a 400w lightfor at least a week after buying them and they were fine and then i put them under 1000w light and the wilted what could be wrong?light too close? i had the 1000w light same hieght as the 400w.need advice asap

u have to ease in to add more light , and the younger they are the more fragle they are, dont put them directly under the light ,put them off to the side for the first couple of days and move em in to the light slowly, then u can start lowering the lights gradually, chech if they need some water, they bounce back, just ease off the 1000 a lil

ya the light was to low an the heat built up an torched them babbies..just start the light back at 4 feet to start an as the plants grow gradually lower the light to the canopy..peace az

i had myreflector at like 2 foot
