plants stretched under 400

My beautiful hogsbreath girls have stretched under the 400 hps light i have them flowering under. because of this light is not reaching lower branches do i chop the lower branching to avoid mold issues or do i let them go any help would be appreciated

put some cfls at the bottom to help . or chop them..400 is good for about 24 inches of usable light

Lower branches can be cloned if you still are early in flowering... If you are about 3-4 weeks or more into flowering any branches super low can be chopped off so the upper buds get more weight and development

When you flip to flowering they will grow a bunch, before that slows down a lot and flowers start appearing.

you should be okay.. u can super crop.. get some light down below the canopy.

is there ever chance of stressing the plant if your chopping at 4 weeks+ into flowering? After week 4 of flowering i'm always super cautious because i use fem seeds and they seem to be easily stressed in late flower

I have never had any stress related problems. The only downside is it takes maybe 2-3 weeks for new growth since the clone was taken so late in flowering.
