Ok here it is, is my plant gonna be useless...I have a female plany that was planted on new years eve, this is the middle of march and I am still on 24 hour light cycle....was gonna maintain it untill day 100 when I changed to a 12 hour cycle..Right now I am using only 100 w flourescent bulbs 2 of them and a 150 agrosun bulb...gonna use a 100W system at day 100......Obviously I have doner nothing with the light cycle to promote a sex....Will this plant be worth anything when she buds? BTW this is in Soil.

ummm..

if i understand correctly,, you are planing on vegging a plant for 100 days and then switching her to flowering cycle...

is this correct?

there is no need to vegg a plant for 100 days.. how about just 20 days.. and then switch to 12/12...especially since this is your first grow (?)...

Hi, I think my Henry has been growing for about 5 months now. S/he's on my windowsill, and I dont have any lights cause I think my Mom only just about tolerates it for "horticultural purposes" :D. I was just wondering how much longer Ill be waiting for some sticky-icky, it's almost 3 ft tall, and gets regular trims. I suppose my question is.....In a cool/temperate european climate, is a 12/12 light cycle essential to encourage budding, or will it start on it's own (eventually)?

hello poe

if it is in your house and it is three feet tall and in your window sill.. it must be one tall lanky MO - FO.. and I would love to see a picture... and you are very luck y the plant has made it this far! congrats!! :)

a plant will not produce the"sticky icky" without 12 hours of uninterrupted darkness every 24 hours.. so when you turn the light on in your room.. it fooks up the NEEDED (for bud production) dark cycle (flowering cycle;12/12)

picture please

well here in the uk it is now light by 5-530am, Its not getting dark till 7pm and this is getting later everyday due to summer, As it stands today there is more then 12 hours of light which means you wont get the full 12 hours dark needed to flower.

Also 3ft on a window sill, How..? Will you get light to your plant once you put it into flower and it ends up at 6-9ft... Have never seen a window that big in a house.

And your mom is going to put up with a tree growing/stinking out the house..?

There's a pair of images of my baby, I had to go find a digital camera :)

BigBud: I dont plan on letting it get any taller, Im going to try and force it to grow outwards. And my mom.....well we'll cross that bridge when we come to it :D

just as i imagined... LOL.... youare one lucy son of a gun.. that plantis stretched out more than a magnum on my KAK... lol..

congrats on a fine first lady.. in the future, if you give the plant more direct light.. IT will be about 10x's as bushy....

yes you should flower her now.. This requires 12 hours of uninteruppted darkness every 24 hours....

thanks for the pics... they are fantastic!!

your plant looks like a sativa stain dominated one, it is not bushy and got the typical skinny leaves too... it also shows that kind of stretching you get with growing under sun/outdoors. to get this plant still short and bushy you will have to really cut the 4-6" of the top off and try to zigzag tie the plant. sorry to say it in that way, but it looks even for a sativa strain a bit late for this now. you lookin into 8ft+ of plant there if this baby starts flowering in late summer! at least if you can't reduce the height now significantly;)

Last Night I got kinda desperate and did some severe pruning, but once Im in the position to put it in "budding mode" I will, thanks for the advice every one, Peace man :D

The guy I got seeds off has his plants like that, 4 in one 8 gallon bucket, I cry a little everytime I see them but he wont let me bring them here and take care of them under my HPS.

Just read your post after sending in my own question on the same thing. Did you find out anything yet? Whiz Bang.
