Maybe try and raise the light up about 6 inches and see how it goes. I actually dont know what lights you have but it still may be to much for the little guys.Probably fine with your lights. ppm is too much though.

Thats the bitch of using rockwool. I only use it to make cuts then when they get roots popping I go into hydroton and set the rockwool just above the water line, ebb and flow, roots get water the rockwool doesnt even though I will top feed my junk so that the rockwool doesnt dry out too much till I get really good root action going.

better be on the look out for root rot hydrogaurd would help prevent that.

what is your water temp????
Ok I will follow your advice, is there any way I can raise the rw cubes? Would this help?
Is never thought that water temp was important, I’m learning though, it has always felt cold to the touch.
I will order Hydroguard now, I also have hydrogen peroxide on the way to help with flushes.

If you do hydro hydrogaurd is nice to have on hand when you need it. Can be used once a week as a preventative. You just dont need to waste it, cost.

h202 be careful as if you use it to strong it can burn fine root hairs off. Myself I wouldnt use it on my roots unless I was desperate.

Idk can you raise the rw up out of the water I cant see your rig? If you do make sure the roots are getting wet and top feed once-twice a week to keep the roots in the rw from drying out to much till fully established.

Water temp is huge too cold isnt good too hot is worse. I like my junk right about 70-72f. Your water temp is probably ok since you didnt post it was warm to the touch but you have to know what exactly it is.

It is rw on a spreader mat I would have to raise the rw under the spreader mat as I wouldn’t be able to separate the rw and spreader as the roots attach the 2
If that makes sense?
And I will always check my Rez temps from now on
Thanks for the advice it is appreciated.

Your probably ok just think about not putting the rw right on the matt next time. If it works do the same thing. IMO I dont think that its a good idea to have the rw wet 24-7. If it works it works if it doesnt you have some info to start figuring out why its not.

is it general practice to put a rooted rw plant right on top of a growing matt and then run water across the matt 24-7? Thats what I am asking you cuz idk.

I have read the Rockwool sits on a spreader mat, I didn’t find out till recently that an nft table is supposed to have drainage channels, I made my own nft table that doesn’t have drainage channels I should of thought that this should of been a factor in my problems instead of being a noob, I should of done more research,
I am learning from my mistakes,

I am also unsure when to put them into flower, i have read all sorts so I am unsure,
I’m scared in case it is too early or late
Do you think the plants are an ok size for 5 weeks? If you can tell from the photos that is,
I fimmed once so far, a week ago all 10 plants were successful with 4 new tops on each, would I need to fim again? I’m looking to make an even canopy.

You can put into flower whenever you want just be aware that they will probably double in size during this time.

Plants look fine for five weeks.

You can top whenever the need comes. as you probably know that if you want an even canopy you wouldnt top a lower branch just the upper tops and let the lower stuff catch up to get an even canopy.

if that was my room I would top as many times as I could, when they start touching each other maybe a little after that cant just be oh shit their about to touch, are they touching, time for flower, get my drift. Top one last time then go into flower about a week after the last topping. I dont want any dead space that doesnt have plant in it under my lights when I go into flower.
