Grow is looking great. I can't tell how cloudy/ milky the trichomes (edit:THC balloons on stems) are, but the cloudy-ness of the trichs tell me when to chop. I have some strains that never stop growing white stigmas (edit: hairs).

Put it on water for last week ( see if it will begin some leaf fade ) as it consumes what is stored in leaf.

You are pretty much there as over 75% of pistils have turned and are pulling back in.

Looks like you gonna have some trimming to do these .... lol.

Thanks pal , they have been on a water feed for 9 days now . This is the LSD strain he seems to not want to colour fade . I have an afghan Kush , cherry pie and a Blue cheese which have all faded to a more yellow colour . The LSD strain is not shifting colours lol

Nice job on your grow. They sell these on Amazon for $5 or $6. Pretty useful to detect the state of your trichomes / harvest time etc.

Jewelers loupe with led light.

Looks like you are really close. I know there are people that would chop now. Personally, I would try to wait another 7-10 days. The buds should swell a little more internally as they finish ripening so that you get the best yield along with the best flavors and smells from a fully ripened plant :).

Thanks for the info , just going to be patient and wait it out for another 7 days hopefully they will be ready after a 10.5 week flower

So just FYI 10 weeks isn't very long. Especially if you are counting 10 weeks from 12/12 flip.

There are not many strains that will finish in 8 weeks or less from when you flip the lights.

Most Indica dom plants need around 8-9 weeks from first flower formation(IE flowering time). Much of the market isn't pure genetics though its hybrids. Most hybrids need between 10-12 weeks of actual flowering time, not 12/12 time. Then you have sativas dom plants which regularly take 12-14 weeks, and can take WAY longer depending on genetics and environment.

Your plants look really nice btw. Definitely worth trying to get the most out of them.

Yeah i started my flower period from when I seen the flower formation , tbh I might as well wait out the next 2 weeks and let it finish fully . I’ve come this far it’d be a shame to try and rush it and hurt final potential yields . Thanks for all your info guys I really appreciate it , sorry if I seem confused , my first grow and all I have been following is YouTube videos and my Canna feed chart!!

hi guys quick update , so i harvested my plants 4 days ago and hung them whole . well for the first 3 days of drying they smelt amazing . it is noe the 4th day of drying and i noticed a tea/hay smell coming from the dry tent . My RH is 54% and my temps stay consistent between 18C-22C is there something i am doing wrong because although the hay smell is present when i go to the actual plants that are drying i can still smell their flavour strong on them.

Just make sure you have air exchange. If the buds themselves still smell good you are doing ok. As the leaves dry they will still release a bit of the plant material smell, but the buds should be doing their own thing. Once they are done drying and you trim them up I bet you'll be happy.

Thanks yeah i have a small fan set up that is pointed away from them and have downgraded my air in and air out to smaller ones for the purpose of drying . i thought the smell might be coming from the fan leaves that i am due to cut down now!

When I dry I have found I like to remove ALL leaves that aren't covered in frost. Then I hang the branches and let them dry. Usually takes 7-10 days till the outside feels a tiny bit crispy and the inside is still squishy. At that point they go in a paper bag until they all even out and are a nice smokeable moisture level. Then bag or jar it till you want it. typically I will open the jars a few times and give them a little shake to stir them, but thats it. I don't burp and fool around with hygrometers, and it always tastes lovely.

This was also something my last grow concerned me with but after trimming and curing the dankness was there for sure...Good luck!
