I would too man, these plants are super resilient and its not too late for them.. good job acting quickly

What like token soil?
You are not going to make very many friends here with comments like that. We try and help each other here.
Implying that I', trying not to help someone is BS. Don't label me like that.

And as for the suggestion of putting the dying or soon to be dead plants in soil, if you dont have the experience to keep your plants healthy with a hydr system a quick move to soil can save your dying plants. Why experiment more with an entire crop? Soil is so much easier. A good yield is better than a dead crop.

well man transplantin adds stress no matter what. When the plants are already stress, transplanting should always be a last resort, unless you over nute, which you flush the soil with new soil which is technically transplanting just using the same pot. the beauty of hyrdo grows is how quickly they can recover, and they can recover very fast

If you do put the sickest of the plants in soil it will not kill them. With all due respect saying the plant will go into shock is not accurate. Plants go from soil to hydro can go into shock much more easily than the other way around.

Well, I'm using the Micro Grow Bloom with Big Bud and the local hydroponics store recommended using 1/2-1 Tsp per gallon of Zone to help wil a slight Pythium problem I noticed about a week and a half ago.

I've put a lot into this project. You don' think there's anyway I can save them!! We're so far!
From what I know about using sulfur for pythium, it's used primarily as a preventative measure. As far as actually getting rid of pythium, you should use the best product on the market- hygrozyme. Severe cases may still be beyond repair, but it's truly the best thing out there to combat it. Lots of fresh air, light, nutrients, and oxygenated water are the recipe for success- along with a vigilant eye on pH.

amen, and I don't understand why someone hasn't brought up the zip-tie to the garden stick yet....That stem is restrained, like torture let her sway..Get something more flexible; looped fishing string, twist ties (longer garden version), string... it will still support with out restricting..

Pretty much a full recovery! Besides the leaves that were damaged there haven't been many more dropping. A few of the girls were damaged pretty badly though, and are a lighter green with very slow bud growth. Probably due to the fan leaf damage. Besides that the ladies are showing very good progress. I just increased there nute solution today, so we'll see how they react. Looking forward to harvesting most of my crop in 3-4 weeks!!

No man, As a plant goes through its life cycle it needs humidity and gives off humidity. When its young they could use some but as they get older they produce it. Well, when thing are going right.

The girls in flower, don't worry about over watering them at this point. In flower they need more water and the Ph should be slightly higher for best nutrient use, like 6.1 or so. My girls in hydroton get 4 hour water cycles.

What I would suggest is flushing with a mild nutrient solution for a few days maybe a week. Then just a bit to get started back.

Once they are back stay at half strength until you can find how much these girls can take.
4 hour water cycles!

cruzer.. im growing in a 4x4 tray with 9 plants in pots with hydroton in the pots and also now hydroton all throughout the tray since the roots came through the pots... how much should i water them throughout the day?

thanks

Hi Werdy,

If you are on an ebb an flow system the time don't matter, its the frequency. Healer and I are on drip systems and it takes longer for the water to spread out through the hydroton.

If ebb an flow I would fill and drain the tub when light go on, then four hours later, then four hours later. don't water at night.

You don't want to do it for hours in an ebb an flow because the roots will be deprived of oxygen. 15 min cycles are fine.

If its a drip system then yea, you can run the pumps longer. I'd start at one hour before lights go on and again 12 hours later. For accelerated growth or flowering go 2, 3 or 4 hours the first time and 1 hour the second.

Great News.

Sounds like you are back on track.
I am gonna drop this thread but feel free to PM me if anything comes up.

Looks to me like you allowed them to dry out causing the roots to dry too, i had exactly the same plants on mine when the pump broke and its took a weeks to get a recovery and by then it slowed them right down and all the yellow leaves just slowly died, sorry you had problems and im a bit late but goodluck with the last few weeks and i hope u still get a nice yeild :)
