hi buds i have 3 plants 2 week into flower the buds just forming can i chop a few fan leaves as they are far too bushy and they are in the way or is this not worth doing thanks

The Sith Lord is WRONG!
Yes you can! Jorge is very opinionated on the subject and does not respect other views.
I prune back shade leaves on some plant strains and on some "pure" style Idica's,,,,you need to, to get an even, complete finish on the buds (size, density and quality).
Try it on one and not on another to compare!
I have, and you see what I do!

So I after 45 years of growing canna is wrong ....OK? but to diss Cervantas only shows how ignorant some member so of RIU are ...go figure, see it as the equivalent of throwing out all you food and expecting to glow the next 3 weeks, dumb and dumber

OK I'll bite.
Ed Roesenthal say's it's OK! How long has he been growing? Jorge is just another opinion, same as ED. Some times to find the TRUTH, one must try something ON one's own!
To follow any one single opinion can limit your knowledge! :wall:
Try it in a side by side and SEE for your self!

The only true ignorance expressed,,,is your own! :dunce:

Why trim the leaves when they are the reason the plants grow. Understanding how plants use the light is critical, if you pull the fan leaves the sugar leaves stretch out to capture light. Unfortunately that leads to undesirably low harvests.

I dont wanna trim loads just say a few to let light evenly spread but i may try on 1 and not the others i just dont wanna get a herm thanks buds

Sigh,,,,,just try the side by side and see what happens for YOU!

I've tried many differing forms of trimming.....I still trim on MOST of the strains I run (not Sativa's), to one point or another.....It works for ME and I've been growing for a l-o-n-g, l-o-n-g time!
Take a look at the LA Conn's in my journal. IF, I did NOT trim those. The buds would be done and dense on the tops and loose and airy below.....I (and my patients) don't have the time to harvest one layer at a time!

To those who disagree. I am NOT trying to antagonize! Only supply the OP with ACTUAL real life experience! Yeah I've read Jorge and Ed's books too...For this I agree with ED!
