When planting your germinated seeds, do you plant them about the length of a seed in the dirt with the seeds shell sticking out a slight bit. Or completely cover it? And what is the average time it takes for the seed to break out of the soil and vertically grow?

Hey im only in my first growth and i grow in soil as well. After i germinated my seeds i planted them 1/4 inch in (without the head sticking out) but so that the root will point downwards. After about 30hrs the first sprouted then the 2 others a few hours later (I understand the average is about 1-3 days). I did put my eye on the warmth of the soil and the plates while germinating in the paper towels and i advise you do the same.
