Plant stress, unknown cause, ebb and flow

growing indoors
watering schedule was 4 times a day for 45 minutes per time
grow medium is hydroton
vegetative stage
ph is controlled with a ph controller at 5.8
Cyco nutrients.
Ebb and flow- i have inserts below the cloth pot that hold up off the bottom, ensuring good drainage. I am using ROI-680 grow lights from growers edge. they are not trying to grow taller, they just keep getting small leaves on top and curling down. i thought it might be from overwatering, so my recent change was to switch them from 4x per day at 45 minutes to 3 times per day at 15 minutes each. Help would be appreciated!

You were flooding too long. You only need a 10 - 15 minute flood cycle.

Also it looks like your nutrient solution is too strong from the looks of that plant. Have you verified that the pH controller is keeping the pH at the correct measurement? Some of the inexpensive ones can be unreliable. I always set my pH for 6.0 with hydro or coco.

I re-calibrated the solution and im using a ph pen to verify (which has also been calibrated). Should i flush for a few days to get them out of the funk, then reduce the nutes to say 75%?

It also looks like your plant has been constantly exposed to high humidity. If so, your leaves are not able to breath so to speak or able to release water to the atmosphere.

Whenever I have plant issues, I run through these steps in the following order

1. VPD
2. Ph and Nutrients
3. Pest and Disease Control

I wouldn't mess with Nutes until im sure I have my environment dialed in.

Im running a quest duel 205 dehumidifier, with a honeywell humidistat. they are ducted into the room for maximum efficiency at 70% RH. it should be optimal, unless im missing something here.

Is that room rh or canopy level rh? You would be surprise the difference in humidity, specially if your plant is standing in water. I bottom feed, the room could be reading in the 60's but my canopy can read as high in the low 80's when I feed. My plant leaves would droop and this is the point where I would crank up my light just to increase the temperature and light intensity, after a few hrs, my leaves would come back to normal.

Again its could be other issues, but no harm eliminating environmental causes before anything else.

Your onto something here! the room rh was set, like i said to 70. i have three different RH senors in the room. one on the wall for the dehimistat, one for the monitoring system to let me know if it changes, and one that came with the light controller. the light controller read 83% down by the plants. the other two were much lower. i had to lower my humidistat to 55% to get below 70 percent by the canopy. i think this could be a huge issue, if they are sitting in 85+ humidity, the roots will never dry out. this wasnt during feeding time! ill let you al know how it effects it in the next few hours. thank you all!

45 mins x 4...that's a lot of water going into the atmosphere, specially around your plants. That high humidity envelopes your leaves and they cant release water. Most likely the stomata are closed thus you loss turgor pressure.

Xtsho advise is good. It would help in reducing water in the atmosphere. That or increase your temperature.

the VPD isnt perfect, but here is an updated look at the same plant, were coming out of it, slowly and surly, thank you everyone! Im having a problem keeping the humidity high enough with the mini splits I know this will change as the plants mature, but for now i have two humidifiers in there, and i cannot get it to 70. suggestions for this would be great.
