Plant smells already?!?!

So when I woke up this morning and checked on my plants I was amazed to find that they (2 out of 5) are smelling of bud already. They are from a mix of bag seed that I've accumulated over time and have been vegging under 24/0 for a couple of weeks now.

Now I suppose it's possible that they are an auto-flowering strain, but it seems early even for that.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks

So the smell this early means they are males?

No no no....sorry. The strong smell so early is a good indication that they will be very fragrant later. It does not mean they are male or female, or auto flowering. Just that they smell good and strong, which is great for "bag appeal".

If smell is already becoming an issue I would invest in a some kind of carbon scrubber, or you even make on yourself. Just search do it your self carbons scrubber or something like that. The smell is only going to intensify.
As for the auto flowering, if you see that their are buds on the plants already they might be. But most of the time bag seed isn't going to be auto flowering since it's usually not the highest quality.

ccodiace - thanks for clearing that up. I've only grown outside before, so unlike indoors, the smell from a plant this small would be lost in the wind.

No problem........the above poster had some good advice. Start thinking about masking the smell now if smells are going to be an issue.

The smell isn't an issue - I like it - and I've already been prepping to deal with it....I just wasn't expecting it this soon! My new lights from HTG are supposed to arrive tomorrow so the plants we be re-potted into something a little bit bigger and moved to their final home. Currently they are in the shower in my spare bathroom and needless to say my fiance is not thrilled about that

RE: the auto flowering strains, when do they normally start to bud? Is it size, time or something else?

Thanks

Time. As soon as they leave the seedling stage, they skip the vegetative stage and go directly to flower.
