plant problem isnt working

Flowering since the 9th pro mix ammended with verm and perlite nothing else, fed with half a tsp of tiger bloom half a tsp grow big spring water no ph or ppm tested during entire grow with everything pretty smooth. Yellow new growth tips almost burnt looking I just can't see one tsp per gallon of mixed nutes burning...any ideas?

stem of the part where it is yellow on the leaves I bet most of the plant is green and affected ones are red . ph locked . slight adjustment with the ph first before you push nutrients harder . no point of pushing nutrients more hard if plant is locked up form high ph it wont absorb it properly . we will see the next pic

it was the vermiculite that did it,

like peat holds a shit load of water,

that water got nutes leading to a serious clash in the rootzone

dump that mix and replace with no vermiculite,

just perlite and soil

water well

..and No nutes until you see a positive improvement
 
This appears to be the same problem the OP posted about in the "problems" forum.

I don't understand how it could be overfeeding when he's using soilless. Pro-Mix HP has enough nutrient content for about 1 week. He's been in it for 4 weeks? Seems odd that 1/2 tsp would cause burnt tips(?).

I still think it has something to do with using nutrients for biologically-active medium with an organically inactive medium? Seems like nutrients used for hydro would be more appropriate(?).

You've made this point a couple times. What is your definition of organic? Would you use it in hydro?

(I see stuff like worm castings and bat guano on the label and that says for "biologically active" medium to me.).

Even fox farms says its not organic. Its not.
My definition would be if I could call my food or product organic after using it.

I get what your saying. That it wouldn't be right for soiless medium because it needs microorganisms to break it down. I don't think that's the case.

Fox farms states the ingredients are water soluble. I would think that everything in it would be available for the plant to use. The trio has macros and micros.

I don't know if I would use it in hydro. People have before. I don't remember the outcome.

Just rambling. I don't see how it would cause the problem.

Just simple over feeding. The plant don't look bad.

That's probably the difference in our terminology. I'm saying if it's not somethign you'd use in hydro, I wouldn't use it in soilless (because it has organic sources of nutrients).

It sounds like you're saying it's not perfectly organic (the OMRI stamp, etc.). That's more than the point I was making (which should have been obvious.).

I actually just looked at the website again. Grow big is the only one not for hydro. The two bloom products can be.

They make a hydro trio and only switch out the grow big.

Good info! I just looked at the first two products I saw on the FF site and saw things like guano, worm poo, kelp. I didn't realize they have more hydro-friendly products. I make that distinction in the future.

It did get below 60 one night when my furnace got deconfuckulated one night by it wasn't for more than an hour or two. I'd like to think it was just that.
