Plant pot into ground?

Would it be okay to dig a hole into the ground as deep as my pot and just place the pot into the ground?

I'd like to eventually bring my plant back inside and believe this would be the easiest way.

sure, that'll keep the roots from overheating and the wind from blowing them over.

if your talking about bringing it indoors to a dark room or something during its dark period cuz of a storm or something then i think thats cool or are you talking about going from indoor lights to natural outdoor light then back to indoor artificial light?

if you dig a hole and put it in the ground and don't remove it every day roots are going to grow into the ground through the drainholes (trust me!)... if you remove it every day (why in the hell would you want to do that?) those extra roots will be killed off every time you move it. Outdoor light to indoor light is no fun, and unless you take proper percautions spidermite infection would be likely. If you would like to stick in ground and leave in ground... check this out....

I do it all over the place in that journal..... there's some narley root shots at the end in the last major pic session (pg 46-48 )
