Plant issues

Hi all,

I am hoping someone can help me out a bit!. This is my first grow so I am learning all the time. I have some issues with one of my Kali Mist plants. The plant seems to drop considerably, and is also showing some yellowing at the tips of a few of the lower leaves.

The plants are 17 days old and have been potted in Bio-bizz All mix. I am using a MH 400 watt. I believe this soil is good for 4 weeks without nutes so I have not added anything apart from water to the soil. I have been watering using bottled water at a ph of 7.4. As you can see from the pics the other 2 plants seem o.k apart from maybe some leaf curling?? (not sure if this the way the plant grows TBH). Temps are between 21 degress C and about 28 degress C. Lowest temp recorded was around 18 degress C at night. Watering schedule is usually every day or sometimes every 2 days. I water until the soil is completley wet and some drips from the bottom of the pots are evident. I really want to catch any problems before they get to severe so I was hoping someone could shed some light!!

Happy smoking...

Gregg

ph of 7.4 in water is kinda high if you soil isnt acidic to begin with that could be the problem

I have been using Evian bottled water, I thought that would be the best stuff for starting them off. My tap water is 7.8 so was going to start using that soon and add some ph down.

try plain old reverse osmosis water should be a lower ph and no extra junk in it
more than likely you will find it for less than 1$ a gal

The tap water where I live is good, it's just a wee bit high on the ph side at 7.8. I live in Scotland so it should be good!

too much water. that is all.

also a possibility .. do you let the soil dry almost completely before rewatering ? as in stick yer finger in about an inch if its still wet .. wait another day or so .. or you could use the lift the pot method .. lift it before and after a watering you can tell when shes dry (will be much lighter)

yeah maybe good for making scotch or a nice wee heavy but fcuk all else :hump:

Lol :hump:. Watering, I usually wait until the soil drys out completely. The soil usually comes away from the sides of the pot by the time I water. It can still be a lttle damp about 3/4 " down when i water though?. Should I wait until the next day before i water again, after i see its quite dry? (if that makes sense!)

Cheers guys

yeah if its still a little damp i would wait maybe a day if the pot feels really light then its time
