Planning my first grow. A few questions.

It means that plant is probably going to be your runt.

Just keep giving it only water, and don't over water it.

Guyyss, the other plant is starting to turn yellowish like the other one too. :S What's going wrong?

And it isn't the standing water. I had just watered them when I took the picture and it hadn't soaked in yet.

I am by no means an expert, but do you know what the PH is of the water you are feeding it?

How often are you watering?? You're not using nutes yet right? What kind of soil is that?

It's sta green potting soil. I am using no nutrients, and I believe the water level is 7.0 - 7.5.

A general rule of thumb is to keep the PH between 6.2 and 6.8.

Correct, get your pH around 6.2-6.8

You could get some pH down in basically any pool/aquarium section of a store.

You can also mix some dolomite lime with your soil to drop your pH I believe.

Are you sure pool chemicals are safe to use with the water for my plants? That just sounds not so good. :S

pH + and pH - are fine to use with your plants. Get some out of the aquarium section of your local store.

So spa Ph + will work for soil? I didn;t think that would be a good idea, but i can't seem to find dolomite lime anywhere around my area. Thanks

Yes, just remember it doesn't take much for a gallon of water. A couple drops.

All I know is fish tank pH+/pH- is totally safe for fish. Spa pH+/pH- shouldn't be different.

Yes, I'm doing it right now in fact. Not spa, aquarium pH adjuster.

Fair enough, looks like I'll be investing in some.

I went out today and some aquarium PH adjuster. Got a pitcher, filled it up, and got to adjusting. I put it at 6.5, and gave them a good watering.

Right on, remember to flush the soil with about 3x the volume of your container.

If those are 16oz cups use 48oz of water.

The middle of the plant is still so green that I think it might actually live. Lol, we'll see I guess. The other plant is looking pretty good though.
