Pistils while vegging?...or do my eyes deceive me?

My babies are 7 and 8 weeks from seed. Well, I was doing my daily exam and I swear that I am seeing pistils. Is this possible as I have had the lights on 24/7? I am also a little concerned with the purplish/reddish stems. They have been like that the whole time and there are no other nutrient problems visible. Am I a proud new mother of 2 beautiful, stinky ladies or am I all excited over nothing?:dunce:

yes it's possible to have pistils show in veging cycle, they're called preflowers.
7-8 weeks vegging is way to long unless your going to flower under a 1000 watt HPS. Red stems are common espeacially when vegging with florescent light.

i'm pretty shure those are stipules dude. they grow on male and female plants. those look green to me and in my experience pistils are milky white. wait a few more days so you can tell better. a magnifying glass is a good investment.

i believe those little pistols show prior to its sexing on all my grows ive had those green little things come up and about 5 days later balls will show or 8 days later white pistols will appear. males always sex b4 females

i'd still wait to be sure. are there 2 milky white hairs coming out of the higher stem internodes? cuz those look like stipules to me mayne.

I grew Serious Seeds AK47 a while back and she threw out pistals just over a month in veg.

I'm sure I can see one pistil (female) in the second pic, right in the middle.

No sign of sex in the first tho.

Nothing worse than waiting eh ;-)

I took some better pics using a magnifying glass and my camera.these pics are of the same plant as earlier.maybe you'll be able 2 see what im seeing.thanx 4 the input:-P

Here I agree, also to know if female.. there will be a tear drop with two white hairs comming from it (in plain english) These will be located where the branch and stem merge. Should you have something that looks like a cluster of bannanas get rid of it before it ruins your ladies.
