Not to sound stupid, but what exactly are "the pistals receeding"? I read of that being a sign that your plant is close to harvest. Anyone have any pictures?
what he said/\ if there is still white hairs it will still put on weight as the calyxes that have the white hairs still haven't reached there full size
Ok thanks for that info. I was also checking the bud out real close. The bud has like pods or something. It hasn't been fertilized by a boy or anything. So do those little pod lookin things burst open once they dry? The fresh bud to me looks nothing like dry bud.

And it will never look the same since its still really fresh and the leaves still contain some chlorophyll thats why the leaves and the stems still have that fresh green color but as you begin your drying and then curing you will begin to see the buds losing the fresh green color to a much lighter shade of green as time passes
Also the little pods(calyxes) will not burst once dry..
Also receding pistils means that the pistils or white hairs are pulling back into the plant and are not sticking straight out because there is no need for that since that calyx or pod has already matured and not accepting pollen anymore.

those pods are the calyxes they have the pistils coming out of them right? it basically where the seed would be if it were pollinated, its basically fruit if you think about it like a ripe pear lol but its just what the bud is made up of they don't burst unless they produce seed
