Pineapple express (g13labs) is a trainwreck hawaiian hyrbrid!?

i just was reading in a couple different places that g13 labs pineapple express is Trainwreck x Hawaiian! which hawaiian i dont exactly know, im geussing an afghan or something like that, trainwreck would need the support to be a decent strain. i have smoked a few different people's pineapple express before and actually they all tasted similar with a super mega pungent tropical fruit punch smell and taste. only other strain i ever had that tasted similar to that is hawaiian maui waui. and to confuse you all even more, there are more hawaiian hybrids, such as real mccoy that have a pineapple taste advertised. and those ones are sativas. so im wondering if any knows what kind of hawaiian was used to make pineapple express. or if anyone has any other info on it, i have a seedling of it about a week old. very vigorous and nice so far! the nugs i smoked were dense too and peoples plants/buds online dont look overly sativa at all, more like indica really... and trainwreck is afghan x thai sativa x mexican sativa. so wtf???

i think thats just hearsay, because the boys or girls at g13 labs are tightlipped about their genetics, because lesser "breeders" like GHSC or Nirvana would just try to rip them off and copy their genetics. i dont blame them and frankly, it does say its "probably" a cross of Trainwreck and Hawaii Maui waui.

i can already tell my seedling has HUGE fan leaves and wide internode spaceing, so i assume it is an open plant like u say. it was germed around 11/8 and is out growing a nirvana white rhino that was germed 11/6, by a lot too.

I got 2 phenos in my package. Had 4 very similar plants that leaned to the Indica side and 1 that was more Sativa than the other 4.

That Sativa leaning one was a keeper. She gets coated in trichomes and stinks like over ripe fruit. She's also a very good yielder with a 9 week flower. I have to admit that 1 pheno really surprised me with quality and yield, it's staying in my grow for a while

I'm on the Frweed Pro (not the free one) app on my ipad. Under Pineapple express it says Origins: Lemon Skunk x Super Silver Haze. I don't know if accurate but thats what it says on their app.

That's the genetics of Super Lemon Haze.

this is why i hate all the names.... in english; its a mostly afghan indica strain with little bit of sativa in it. it was breed for the pinapple pheno

I doubt that very much. I've grow P-ex many times as well as several wreck strains. Not remotely similar in any way except the flimsy branches.

That doesn't seem right either. It's extremely fruit/sugar in taste and smell but not lemon or haze flavored at all.

i've heard that in a few issues of high times they have come out and said what was the make up of the pe, not g13 labs, but one of the writers of ht's rather..
i've always thought it was a c99 hybrid, but no i don't really know as i must have missed those articles in ht's and didn't see what they said was in it..

I'm inclined to agree with this.

Actually thinking about it what makes the most sense would for it to be c99 pineapple pheno x kandy kush. Even though kandy kush doesn't resemble wreck at all in smell/taste, it is a wreck cross. Pineapple Express smells/tastes just like what I'd imagine a blend of those two strains to be like. Picking up the pineapple from the c99 and the sugar from kandy kush. The buds of the plant look like c99 (well, sort of) but the plant structure is pretty much just like kandy kush.

well i found a little more info about this, and some by word of mouth. think about it guys... Pineapple Express. sounds like a "train" name. thats because its a Trainwreck hybrid. the strain was originally a clone-only going around cali, this one is trainwreck x pineapple kush. G13 labs Pineapple Express could be different though, but i do believe its a trainwreck hybrid. i just saw a few trainwreck plants the other day and they had very similar features, except that my PE is much less stringy than the trainwreck i saw.

I still have one Pineapple Express female that just went into 12/12 two days ago. It has HUGE fan leaves, very thick stems, and ideal internode spacing, just not much smell yet. i was warned by a local grower that this strain is extremely fragrant when flowering, right now my grape ape's are stinking up so bad you wouldnt notice anything else anyways. but the PE is younger than just about everything i have going right now and it has taken over! its the fastest growing plant ive ever seen. very VERY good plant for beginners!

Yeah i have a pineapple growing right now, never heard about it before it was free on my order form. its growing beast though, even beating the afghanXwhitewidow i have growing. great fresh genetics

Both have the same kind of branches, but the buds themselves look nothing alike.

We'll see if you're still saying that 4 weeks from now when you have to brace every single bud on the plant:fire:

I wouldn't recommend it for beginners. Awesome strain though.
