Pine Trees

i have heard that pine trees make the soil acidic therefore you cant plant near them is this true?

true, dolomite lime could be added, or transplanting new soil. i have always been told cannibus preferes a neutral ph

Mr I Can Do That For Half
The soil is to acidic if its just natural soil.Thats why even field grass doesnt grow under the trees.Almost alway bare. I have pine trees in my back yard and every year I have to till the soil mix in good soil and dump lime in it to get the soil down to usable. Then I replant greass seeds but the dropped needles make it acid ovber the course of the year and grass always dies

good point, if you ever see a pine forest, all you see is evergreens, the ground is completely bare but for a deep bed of needles and a few small pine trees.
