read up on jillybean. that's a nice euphoric stoner strain that i bet you'd like. it just got a nice grow and smoke report here a couple months ago. TGA's gear is very good and that's one of his most popular strains.
height doesn't have to be an issue. read up on SCROGging. it's the best supercropping technique, especially for mixed strain gardens. it's a really good tech for limited spaces too as you can fill up every square inch with plants and all of your buds will think they're "top colas".
on the motivation & high end, i tell you, high quality seeds' haze x skunk is crazy potent! it has a long lasting buzz that doesn't turn stony. it's a 12 week strain, but i was harvesting crazy buds from it before that, especially tops. it's a really good strain for scrogging too as it stretches and squirts a single bud out every couple inches. you could make a lot of buds topping & SCROGging that. it's really good pain med too. i went on a diet by just ignoring my hunger on that strain. very motivational & creative with mild psychoactivity and no more couchlock than lead eyelids. the cigar wrapper flavor wasn't a favorite, but it's a serious strong high.
back to TGA subcool, i like his faster 9 week jack's cleaner 2 more because it's genuinely trippy. it has a stronger stone, but definitely a lot more psychoactivity with nice euphoria to boot. his jack the ripper is supposed to be nice too. the flavor wasn't too lemony, but was much nicer than haze skunk which i think is the more potent of the two. i really need to test them side by side.
going by your "i want a good high and a good stone with euphoria" answer, i'd suggest jillybean & jack's cleaner 2 or jack the ripper as top quality strains you should be able to pull off easily enough, especially if you let them stretch out on a scrog net. NL#5 is safe, but more boring than jillybean which has flavor and more euphoria too i bet.
DNA genetics' lemon skunk would be a nice strain in between in the "mid territory". it's a nice combination of high and stoned that's very 24/7 friendly. skunk #1 is another classic beginner strain, though now it has tons of phenos like lemon, roadkill, cheese and more i'm sure. i liked lemon skunk better than stonier skunk #1. i'd suggest that as an improved classic. as far as mids go, i liked it.
if you want a skunky nothing but stone strain, look for anything with afghani in it's name. that's the strain that defined "bag appeal" (strong skunky odors, dense hard buds, plenty of resin etc.) there should be a lot of easy to grow afghanis. i'd say get something with at least SOME sativa traits in it's buzz like jillybean on the stoner front.
romulan is a really popular strain that's stony and trippy too. it's in jillybean and a lot of crosses. it can get skunky too. some people can't get enough stink in a strain and others like low odor better. the good news is that there's enough range that you can find almost any combination of traits you can imagine.
for SERIOUS potency in strains that get you stoned, you might want to try an AK-47 lowrider. those can be as short as 17". it's a strain that gets funky, but it earned it's one hit wonder name. even more potent, heroauna is about the strongest stone you can get. i don't know about it's odor profile.
growing at least a couple strains with very different personalities is a good idea. it will help you better define your tastes finding out exactly what you do and don't like. for many, a novel flavor on an otherwise same old same old stone is their idea of perfection. euphoria at the very least (if not motivation or even raciness) should be essential in almost any strain. why would anyone want a strain that doesn't give free happiness when it's doable? that's why pure (afghani) stones annoy me. no euphoria and no sensory effects or motivation. the world of hybrids offer every combination of all of those qualities.
