So I went out and bought some more globes today in lieu of the Walmart failures. [Again the Walmart brand knock-offs are, at best, a decent light output pleasing to the eye and at worst a fire hazard! ]

Plus's + 3000k
Sno-Cone Spotlight
Small Form Factor

Negative Not omni-directional [no side lighting]

The plan today was to buy 1 phillips bulb and one 5000k Cree, but the Cree's were freaking $14, no thanks. So I bought a 1 phillips and another 2700k Cree, have to take back those fucking Walmart light grenades.....

I was definitely surprised at how small these guys are, about the same diameter but about 1 inch shorter than the Cree's which are fairly small themselves. [Side note: does anyone see the weird grey bubble right in the middle of the Cree? that is actually the coating MISSING from the inside out and the camera flash made the "clearer" glass reflect more in the pic.....this is what I was talking about the consistency of the coating of the Cree's. Out of 4 I have so far, only 1 looks to be completely coated. The newest one had a shit load of glue all over the base as well, very sloppy!

How do they look? In my opinion....great! But im colorblind, so it aint saying much. They might even seem a tad bit brighter than the Cree's, but they are not omni-directional! [This bummed me out, but I found a solution....]

Even though, it isn't showing it's full potential [sideway's mounted], it seems to do the job and work well. Not any more heat than the Cree's either.....

Gotta give a shout to Hyroot. He kept bringing up other Bulb sources and I almost stuck with human nature and didn't listen. In the back of my head, I was asking, "why, what works, stick with it...". But the negative I had for the bulb originally, turned into a positive......by filling in the gaps [future mounts] They are so small and I was going to have trouble filling in the gaps on the the outside egdges and.......voila

Try switching to the flood bulbs. I use 2 120 watt equiv. in the daylight spectrum for vegging, with great results. One plant for each bulb, or for you, 2 or 3 bulbs per plant. You could use 4 to six in the 75 watt equiv. for that space with the ability to aim all the watts at the plant.
