no, incandescent are not for growing. It is explained in the grow faq what type of lights you need, top left.

apparantly this is designed for indoor plants though so

INcandescent puts off way too much heat, you are better off going with CFLs, they will be less expensive on the energy bill, last longer, give better light, and run pretty cool.
