“Phenomenon” or B.S.?

Where I live, the laws against growing have always been insane, and then we passed medical marijuana and everyone’s a master grower.

something I’ve been seeing here recently, is people intentionally keeping their lights too close to the plants and letting the tips bleach. not knowing it was intentional, I made a comment that up until where the buds got bleached, the plant looks great. He responded by saying to look up the “bleached tips phenomenon”, that the best shit he’s ever smoked was the bleached tips of bud.

my initial thought is that someone was trolling him at some point in time and he took it seriously, but through searching online, I found other posts referencing this as “hash tips”

this is all nonsense right? Or did these local growers actually teach me something?

Ya it's super legit. Bleaching removes the chlorineophyll(the green stuff) from the buds which in turn ups the th c content to 69%. Everyone on Instagram is doing it so it must be legit.
This is pretty much what every post I’ve found in support of it has said, I think this is sarcasm based on the last line, although I’m not completely sure lmao.

Ya man I always burn the living shit out of my plants they love it....lmao. I'm not the repository of all growing knowledge, but causing irreversible damage to plant cells is far different than causing stress that IS reversible with positive after affects, such as supercropping, UV exposure (intensifies trich production to protect bud mass from mildly damaging UV), and topping.
