ph up and ph down???????

first, you should have a ph test kit. you can buy a digi one, or go to your local petstore and get a freshwater test kit. check the ph of the water your currently using, or plan on using. the ideal ph for cannabis is like 6.2-6.8. then, purchase ph up or ph down depending on how your original test of the water came out.... good luck

I agree Mazpot , but on a side note, one half a squeezed lemon per gallon of water to raise Ph, to help with that mental measurment of liquid. Half Table spoon of Baking Soda per gallon to lower Ph.

O.K> so lemon juice raises ph,baking soda lowers ph....correct?????thanks for the help, really appreciate it

Baking soda raises ph. Lemon or Lime juice will lower. Try it out with regular water first to get a feel for how much to use.

When I mix 4 gallons of Bloom I use about 2 tbsp to bring it up to my desired level.

He is either mistaking or just plain wrong. Either way this post is incorrect.

Baking soda raises PH. If you added a half table spoon to a gallon your ph would be off the chart. Or your tap water is acid. I use just a pinch for a gallon and with ferts added.

when mixing a 20 gallons of fox farms ferts. I use 3 teaspoons of baking soda per 20 gallons.

My tap water is 7.3

For 20 gallons of my tap water I add 3 teaspoons lemon juice per 20 gallons.

No, no im pretty sure lemon juice lower ph and Baking soda raises it!!!
Havent had a high Ph situation yet so ive not crossed the Baking soda bridge. Yet.

BUT THE POINT IS,

If I want to know exactly how much to use I would test in a container before i get close to my girls. Just makes sence.
