I have a digital PH reader but I think it is just for H2o and not soil. Can I somehow still test the soil with it?

no............but you can test run off water and if it is coming out higher than you put it in then your soil is high ph.

No I realise that but for this instant make sure you do by doubling the water, the soil will still only hold the same amount and you will be able to get a run off ph!!!! Think about it!

5.7 -6.3 ph no more no less... check your run off out the bottom of your pots. same goes for your ppms, if lower than whats goin in you need more..if its higher than what your feeding then its time to flush and renute at a lower dose..

throw some dirt in a bottle of water, shake it up, then test the water. Not 100% accurate, but you will get an ok reading...
