Ph question

So i got 4 babies going on day 52 in veg, grow tent 2x4x5 under 9(6500k) cfls 2fans 1in and 1out they are about 1.5 ft tall growing in FFOF soil didn't mix anything else in there! At this moment I'm battling a gnat problem that is almost taken care of. I've been using SM-90 and General Hydroponics Grow(7-4-10)! Here's the Ph question.. When I check tap water it's close to 7.6 when adding SM-90 and nutes it doesn't fluctuate much but after watering I check runoff and I'm at like 6.0! The FFOF is kinda hot(acidic) and had a problem w it burning plants earlier, should I ph up a little to raise runoff ph to 6.5?

Also last water I did I ph'd at 7.0 and still the runoff was low hence why I raised it to 7.6 this time! Could my runoff still be low from my last watering and not have gone up yet from this watering?

FFOF is pretty good PH wise. Youngin's will burn up a bit but that's because the soil is too good too soon. Go and buy some Azamax for the gnats. My god don't ever have it at 7.6! approaching death bro! Go and buy some PH up and down and at it to your water til 6.3-6.5 shows up

But doesn't my runoff represent my soil ph? If my runoff is at 6.0 when using ph'd water at 7.0 wouldn't using water at 6.3-6.5 make runoff even lower then 6.0?

No it will not create a lower PH than 6.0! How?

My question to you is, are you seeing any issues in the plants themselves or are you just worrying about nothing? Soil naturally buffers the PH, so you are just aiming for 6.5, but it is not a requirement.

^Slanty's on this one. I would not raise your pH much past 7. You risk stratifying your soil. And unless the plants show distinct pH/lockout issues, I'd net it go as it has been going. Jmo. cn
