ok question on ph my soil tests at 6.5ph my reservoir with nutes is at 6.0 and why is my run off at 5.2? does runoff matter this is the first time i ever checked it. i read somewhere to check it so i did but now what??? if you need more specifics see my journal ty :)

do your plants look really healthy? and are u letting your run off sit around in the saucers for a while before testing it.

Your nutes are bringing your Ph down by 0.5 ,
My run off always comes out 1 point under to when i added , even left it remains lower...

super healthy and i overwatered just a few to check the run off. i never let my girls sit in any water or nutes.riding 036.jpgriding 032.jpgriding 033.jpgriding 034.jpgriding 035.jpg

so the soil tests at 6.5 and the run off is 5.2 to 5.4 but my nutes go in as 6.0 how does this happen? does it matter?

Well if you were growing "Passive Hydro" as i am you would,
Plants are watered by the capillary action of your medium.

if your not letting the water wick back up and your not coming back 15-20 minutes latter then theres no way your getting a true reading.

No No it's cool , just trying to help ,
Mongo frog is right , if you are not leaving the run-off to settle at least 15 mins your reading is innacurate ,
What tool are you using to Ph your soil , may i ask ?

this is not my actual pic was to lazy to go take a pic and up load it but this is the kit i used.

so i have a tri soil meter it checks ph wetness and light but i dont think it works right. what kind should i get? and does it matter what the run of ph is if the soil tests good and the nutes going in test good?
