If i sit my tap water out for 24 hours and fix the PH, but i dont use all the water for one watering, do I need to check the PH again before the next time I water if its the same water? BONUS: Is there a way to use "water" more in one sentence...?

if you don't add anything to it it should be fine. the ph will drift at times, but that's when you have nutes and supps. (water, lol)

it's actually good to let your tap water sit out for 24hrs as it allows the chlorine & other additives to evaporate from the water but you have to put in an air line to keep the water oxygenated & unless you use the rest of your water that day yes you will have to re-PH it if you want to keep the same PH

just ph it and let it sit, you'll see. and if you're only using a gallon jug and you want some oxygen, shake the jug a few times.

If you are growing Hydro then YES you need to check the PH of the water before you use it again..... especially if the water doesn't have nutes in it (which tend to keep the PH down and the drift to a minimum)

I keep a 10 gallon container of water and a 5 gallon container of water w/nutes. I grow hempy so I hand water and alternate between plain water and water with nutes. I check the PH of each before I use it. The container with the Nutes in it tends to have less of a drift and rarely requires adjusting the PH; however, the container with just the water tends to drift more and requires daily adjustments.

If you are growing in soil....it's probably not as critical to check the PH daily because PH tends to drift UP and soil can handle a higher PH level then hydro.

Hope that helps :D

i don't think he's using a recirculating system, which is why he doesn't need to keep checking.

Doesn't matter... if it's any form of Hydro... be it hempy or other method with soiless medium then the rules of hydro apply and PH should be checked daily.

Notice in my previous post I did say if it's soil it likely doesn't need to be checked every day ;)

well i grow hydro, coco coir. i run to waste and set it and forget it. i fill a 5 gallon sterlite container, add nutes and supps. set the ph and it's good till it's gone. rarely (but i don't check anymore,) it may drift .01. i can live with that, and so can the plants. besides, it's never a good idea to chase ph. find out what's causing the drift and fix that. that usually is a rez that's too small.
