I just picked up a hana ppm / ph pen and i have read only that my ph should be 6-7

I water using organic pure vida and reverse osmosis water
With the nutes in my water it read around 4oo ppm
and my ph was like 5.6

Im guessing i need ph up?
I am the most curiuos about the ppm side of things,i read in georges med bible the basics- but am more interestd in using ppms to dial in the perfect amount of nutes, how is this accomplished? Is there a standard amount each plant needs? i am running og kush, any ideas? thanks:?::hug:

I'm guessing you're growing in soil? You want pH to be between 6.5-7. Yeah, you'll probably need pH Up. As for PPM, there is no magic number that works for all plants. What you do is start feeding them 25% of the recommended dosage, which is usually too high. You then work your way up slowly if your plants respond well.

Pretty soon you'll get the hang of it. It's also a good idea to only add ferts to your water every second feeding. Depending on how good your soil is, you probably won't need to add any ferts until month 2.

One more thing about pH, I've seen people use extremely hard tap water for their plants without giving pH any consideration at all. That's not the way I would recommend doing things, but I'm just saying it can be done. It's better to take the time to do things right, though.

Crazy covered it well. From what I saw for nute strength and what i have derived for use in my own op is a range of 1200-1800 PPM for healthy mature plants. Fuct said it best and you will determine this for your self. He says that there is too much, too little, and just right. You can start with a range and work your way up and down until you find that sweet spot.
