Every hydro store i've ever been to, and the few people I know in town all sing the praises of blue lab pens. but their prices are a bit steep to me. Some people say to just pick up a cheap $15 pen on ebay every year. But I have heard a couple of pros say that the only pen that matters is one with a changeable probe for when it wears out.

Anybody here use an Apera pen? Found what looks like a good one on amazon. interchangeable probe and comes with everything it needs. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01ENFOIQE

Looked at it doesn't seem bad. Close to the same price as my blue labs one and I haven't had to calibrate it in well over a year. I check it just has always been perfect. I've used the Hanna and a few others as well as drops I mean I like mine but try it out and let us know.

Just got one. Needs cal every freaking day, and the swings are hell. Sending it back. Just gonna suck it up and get a good one.

Weird mine works just fine. I think it was $125 ppm pH temp some other stuff with a nice case.
