So I'm new here, but not really a new grower.
i have 5 Kush x fucking incredible clones under a 400w HPS with a 6inch cool tube.
i am using premiere horticulture's Soil-less Pro mix It's a mix of 60% peat 20% vermiculite and 20% perlite, it also has cacalitic and dolomitic lime added in for long term and short term PH management, aswell as Endomycorrhizal bacteria for the breakdown of organic nutes. I am using Botanicare's Line of pure blend pro, which is fully organic.
Basically my concern is that my soil will acidify pretty darn fast! it's PH will drop down to 4.5, in about 2 weeks, causing a slight iron toxicity for a day or 2 till i flush and get the mediums PH back up. i feed it about 1.7EC every watering, balance the PH to 7 after adding the nutes with potassium hydroxide. Basically, i wanna know how i can keep the ph in the acceptable range? I know about the whole Cation and Anion exchange with the roots, and i might just have to get a more well balanced fert, that has a more balanced Cation to Anion ratio. other then that, is there anything else i can do? I was thinking about only feeding every other watering, but since its a soiless mix, i may not want to do that. I could also get a bacterial culture that releases more hydroxide ions rather then hydrogen ions. Any one have any suggestions??
