WOW...I am sure post happy today!!!
My first pH meter was a Milwaukee PH Meter for 20 bucks. It lasted a few weeks and the display went out.
I bought a Hanna Champ from HTG supply. It lasted 3 months and then stopped holding calibration, and then the calibration screw stopped turning.
HTG replaced it with another Hanna Champ, no questiosn asked. Said my problem was not uncommon. It lasted a month, and now the calibration screw only turns up, not down. It calibrates at 8.0 in a 7.0 solution and at 5.0 in a 4.0 solution. HTG supply is shipping me a new Hanna pHep to replace it. In the meant time, I am using the Champ and just subtracting 1.0 from the reading, then rechecking with drop solution to confirm. It sucks, but should have new pen today.
I noticed that HTG is no longer selling the Champ. Wonder why??LOL.
So...does anyone have any experience with the Hanna pHep?? Any words of insight on it.
Also, what are some other good pH pens on the market?? HTG has a truncheon for ubnder 200. Would it be worth the investment, or does someone know of a top quality pH pen., and where to get it online?? I do not care about price...I want a pH pen that lasts!!!
Any advice or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.
Oh yeah...and while I am on it......I have a Sunleaves TDS pen (which replaced a faulty Milwaukee I once had)...it works fine, but I have to calibrated twice a day to keep it spot on. Any suggestions on the best TDS pen I can get?? Price not issue...quality is.
Thanks everyone....bawk bawk!
