PH meter maintenance

[FONT=&quot]I just purchased a Milwaukee digital ph meter and am unsure of how to take care of it. Does it need to be kept wet while it is not being used? I calibrated it, however it still seems a little unsure at times. I am not on much because I have never owned a ph meter before. Any advise would be helpful

thanks,
Nate

Yah keep the sensor wet.
I use it, and run it under the tap for a few seconds, and put a little water in the cap.

thanks for the quick advise. I have mine sitting in the 4.01 ph buffer solution. I am still not sure if that stuff is good to be getting into the res so I rinse it off really well before testing any water.

If you guys think water does the same job as the buffer solution, then i will start putting that in the cap instead.

If you have to Storage solution than I'd use that.
the important thing is to keep the sensor wet.
You can also clean the probe with a cute-tip, down the road
if/when the probe becomes corroded.

I was gonna buy storage solution , and a cleaning solution for my meter,
but I got it so cheap I said screw it. If I had a more expensive meter I'd
invest in all that good stuff for it.
