ph in soil

how do you bring up the ph in soil. when i put my meter at the top part of the soil it reads 6.5 when i push it down low in the pot it reads 5.5 which is rite? any help would be great thanks

how big is the pot? The ph is probably different in topsoil and the soil deep under it.
You have to control all parts by using ph up, and flushing with 6.8 ,or what i use 7.0 ph water. Theres many ways, but thats what i do lol.
