Hey...Ive been using a bottle of ph down i bought from a hydroponics store and it is about to run out...problem is this the store is about 3.5 hours from my place....however at a local hot tub store they do sell ph up and ph down...what im wondering is does this ph down have differnt chemicals or ingredients the may harm the plants tin a way the ph down i bought at a hydro store wouldn't?

I think vinegar can be used as acid and baking soda as alkaline.

I have also hear of those as natural remedies, the ph -+ is too strong and easy to put too much, plus i get slime in my hydro unit when i use it....

dont use spa ph -/+ because they do have different chemicals that can kill ur plant. order online or go shoppin at a local hydroponics store.

Ive used pool ph up and down for about 10 years now. works fine no bad effects get it right at wal mart in crystal form
