PH Balance On The Cheap

Whether you grow in soil or Hydroponic setups, PH is the most important aspect of healthy plants. All water in the US is high PH, like at least 8.0 and more likely 11.0 so, you want to add some acid to your water to drop it down around PH=6 or less. You can purchase the fine "PH lower" products at all the hydro stores etc and the stuff is about $13 per liter. Depending on the brand, it can take quite a bit of the deluted acid to correct your water.

There are alternative products out there that can be purchased for 25% the cost of these "specialized hydro" brands and it will do the job just as well or actually, it can be easier to measure because it takes less.

Here's a brand I'm using right now and it is saving me 80% cost to balance my hydroponics setups. I use just short of 1/2 eydropper full per gallon.

I've used the botanical brands and never had a problem. I guess it's kind of hard to fuck up "acid in a bottle" but hey, part of the inflated price tag also insures the best quality inside.

However, 80% savings on an item that can't really be altered or contain much in the way of "impurities" well, I can't pass that up!

Whether you grow in soil or hydro, balance!!!
