Ph and sludge build up

Hey everyone. I have been adding unsulphured molasses to my bloom nutes and have been having some issues that I suspect are a result of adding it in with the botanicare pro soil line up. The issues I'm referring to are: ph will continue to creep up nearly a whole point over 24-48 hours, using geotecķ. The second is a sludge build up in the formula end up choking out the pump o have by blocking the intake and also the fountain tip I added to help with aeration. I think I'm done adding it in for now and make sure everything still runs without issue once it's removed. Or do the benefits out weigh the troubles?

Thanks for any opinions

Op, since you're still waiting - here's some food for thought.

Pics would help! PH and PPM levels also.

You are in Hydro/DWC? (I read something about botanical pro soil line and something about a pump. Or are you using soil nutes in the doc? Sorry a little confused.) I am not sure what geoteck is.. a brand?

I've read Ph can go up due to PPM being too high. (That is one possibility.)

The sludge is possibly root rot? Or maybe just from the Molasses?

From my understanding organics, including molasses are not the most ideal for dwc. It clogs pumps and stones.

If you want to use molasses I would brew it in a Tea.

Hi sorry for the delay I have been out of town. I'm growing in soil with a drip system. The reservoir varies between 5 and 10 gallons. Ppm st this point is around 1200 to 1450 at the end of the 4th week. In the res I have a 120 gph pump with 3ft if hose and a fountain tip for added aeration. I add 1tbsp for every 2 gallons. I use the full line of botanicare. I will be trying a run with mega crop in the summer.
