so i have seen a lot of threads in here discussing PF teks.
great pictures, information and job to all!!!!
i noticed most of you use the PF tek.
i have cultivated mushrooms before and i only used the pf tek.
i ordered some cambodian and golden teacher spores last night.
should be here within the next few days.
i already have all my materials for the pf tek.
all i need to do is knock up the verm/BRF jars.
and wait for them to colonize so i can start the casings....
i will be posting my progress as much as i can with pictures. so this thread may be kind of boring these first week or two. but once it's kicking. ill need some help from you experts.
the main question right now is.....
what would you recommend for a casing mixture?
i was thinking the '50/50+'
-2 1/2 cups of verm
-2 1/2 cups of peat moss
-2 tbs of Calcium Hydroxide (pickling lime)
-4 tbs of Calcium Carbonate (crushed oyster shells)
of course this is only enough for one casing layer. ratios need to be met if using more (durrrr)
