When you harvest them leave some areols behind(tuffs of hair). If you protect it from rain and let it callous over new peyote pupps will grow from the areolas left behind. You should end up with at least 15 babies in time.:mrgreen::peace:

how old does it have to be get a trip?
how easy are they to grow?
is it worth the effort?
how many people can trip of one?

Peyote grows wild around here. I haven't had the urge to trip in a while and have been too lazy to go look for some and dig it up. I have a friend that goes out and collects some once in a while. You want the medium to larger ones per person to get a good trip. We usually just put them in a juicer and drink them. They take about 4-5 years to grow a decent size. Cactus grows very slow its not like weed.

Mescaline, along with other alkaloids are found in the peyote cactus, mescaline alone is a different experience than peyote. Similarly there are a few other cacti that contain mescaline (not quite as much, but enough) and grow at a MUCH faster rate than peyote, i'm not going to go into detail as to their names but i will say they are legal where i live, and a good trip.

Also, i have pretty much read erowid top to bottom, there are lots of things that are psychoactive (other than cacti).
