Perpetual Grow - Newbie! A feast of delights! Weeks 2/3

Hi RIU,

Got some spare time and I have taken some pics of this new set up I got going.
Have 5 x Money Maker & 2 x C99 5 weeks in in a separate tent.
In this one I have:

Batch A)

1 x Purple Haze
2 x Liberty Haze
4 x White Label Random Selection
2 x Northern Lights

I had another PH but it didn't sprout and after 3 weeks I had a look and it was moldy. Got rid.
All sprouted 12th - 19th October
I recall one of the NL seeds (I germinated in shot glasses) broke loose of its shell within 6 hours!

Batch B)

1 x Critical Cheese
1 x DinaChem
3 x Lemon Haze

I also had a White Widow and another LH that didn't make it either. White widow, sprouted and bent over and died, and the extra LH didn't sprout at all.
All sprouted 25th - 26th October.

These were all freebies, except the Lemon Haze. They're from bagweed. Come to think about it one of these were an Auto. Just checked, it is the Critical Cheese.

So there's only a one week gap between them.

It's a mutant, the second pair of leaves is developing slowly. I don't know what's wrong here.

Week 1: White labels & Northern Lights



That's the only pic at that stage. Didn't really take too many again.

The first 2 pics show all 4 plants. Then the 3rd is another shot of the first 2 and the last two pics are of the 3rd plant which seems to be having problems. Anyone seen this before?

The first NL plant is the main plant in the first pic. Then the other 3 pics are of the second plant. Seems to be struggling compared to its sister!!

I have transplanted most of Batch A now, did it a couple of days ago, waiting for the roots to develop a bit more on Batch B. How do you know btw when it is the right time to transplant?

This is my first time doing a perpetual. I can't wait.

I used to bag-seed grow, and would place seedlings in .5 gal pots for 2 weeks, then transplant to their final destination of 2 gal pots each...NOW, I just buy feminized seeds and grow up one at time...germ, veg, and flower in the same pot (3 gal.)..switching to 5 gal. for my next grow for the roots!

What do you mean grow up pal? I thought you shouldn't go so big straight off??

This is about to be my first 5 gallon grow. I'm pretty sure 2 gallon is as big as I've done. Maybe even just 1 gallon, I don't remember. Good luck with yours. I can't wait to see how big 5 gal get.

Back in the tent and I've got some issues with 3 of the young seedlings.

In question are

White Label 3



This plant has been like a mutant since day1.
In the picture the leaf at the back is from the first set of nodes. There is only that from the node. Nothing on the other side. Then there is a second set of nodes to the sides, all mangled on the left and the right is like the first node.
Also I can see what looks like normal growth of the new third tip.

I don't know what's happened to it. Is it worth keeping or is it a goner?


Northern Lights 1



So this has like 3 sets of nodes. Better than the WL but it's having issues. The first set of nodes aren't level and are a staggered pair.
Just single fingers too. There is hardly any space between internodes. The new tips are a mess too, have a look. Also are those pistils developing? Is my baby flowering??





Liberty Haze 1

This plant has a lot of brown spots all over the first set of nodes and even the new second node on one side. Stem is purple as are nodes branches?



I know temps are okay and I'm not feeding yet. Literally transplanted 2 of those.

Updating this journal, last post was a month ago!

Okay so lets see how am I gonna do this. Okay to start roll a J!

and sort the pics on my hdd, back in a mo!

Had to split folders according to age, man i'm all off here cos I got a PH one week younger than the 7 main ones and then a LH & 2 WLs a week younger, and then WL 3&4 and 2 x NL a week younger than that.

The DC, LeH and CC are a week younger than that. I should have just done them all at the same time!

So lets seperate the DC LeH CC as Batch 2 (26/10).

So Batch 1:

1 x PH (7/10)
2 x WL (14/10)
2 x WL (19/10)
2 x NL (19/10)

A shot of them together after transplant.

A few of these I stuck under the HPS dual spectrum for a couple of weeks and the rest were under a 125w CFL. No space in the other tent. :/

So my last post brought us up to 4th December. I've also got pics from last saturday which is 10 days on from the last update. I transplanted them into their final pots. Using a variety of 11l, 6.5l and 12l smart pots.

in the third pic you can see that the lower leaves have been burnt from feeding to early! 1ml per litre but still it was too much. EC was reading 1.4.

You can see the difference in growth between this one and its sister!!

I've put in a few extra shots of this White Label. It's showing signs of maturity and white hairs are protruding. Will put it into flower soon.

This is the mutant. Seems to have sorted itself out!

This is a shot of WL2 and WL4 next to each other. Massive difference in height.

Included a few extra shots in this one, it seems to have topped itself as the main stem is now split in 2.

Seem to only have one shot of this. Will take more in due course.

Here's a pic of them all in the set up.



Now guys these are like 6/7 weeks old and the tallest one is only 14". What to do, I want them to be about 4/5ft in the end for some good yield. Any suggestions?

Oh thats one of my clones, well my only clone that actually rooted. Seems to be thriving now but it is only a couple of inches tall!
