Perpetual/Auto-Flowers

This is a question I need to ask in another sub-forum also. I have a location Issue. 4months from now we are moving to another location, so photo seed is out of question. Don't want to rush that. But I figure it's enough time for auto-strain. My 2 questions are.

Could i use 4x8 for both veg&flower? I.e split tent in half? Or do I need to buy a separate tent? I planned on using a 4x4 area with 4pots and 1000w hid on it anyways.

And 2nd. How many autos with 1000w hid in that space would net me at least 2lbs? I l know strain is a factor and techniques. But on average how many plants and what sized pots would net at least that yield?

if you're running autos just grow them all together since the light cycle doesn't matter.

you should be able to net 2lb with a single 1000 watt hid if you're a good grower, but if you wanna play it safe, you could do a 600W hid for one 4x4 space and use it for veg, and a 1000W for the 4x4 flower tent

if you have that much space, just go for 5 gallon pots.

and for plant count.. as many as you need to fill up your space

I run a perpetual auto grow in a 4x8 and do between 6-8 per side. Sometimes they get too big and they’re really crammed. Pull 16-20oz in a 4x4 every 3-4 weeks. I have a 4x4 tent for seedlings too

Plant count isn't relevant. It's about filling the canopy of the lighted area. I do 3 plants in 15 gallon pots under 2 k and sometimes I do less veg time and plant are smaller so I'll do 3x5 total 15 plants under 2 k. I know it auto ur doing but same concept, fill your canopy
Wow. 3 plants in 15gal under 2k? What's avg yield on that? Just wondering . And what would be canopy in 4x8 tent under single 1000w? Is there a canopy calculation?
