The pics above and below are of Purple Urkle. I know nothing about the strain, they were some testers. They are starting to turn color though. I noticed it a few days ago. Light red, to purple, and now it looks like it is going past purple to black. We'll see.

What’s your mix for soil
I've only used it for a couple of things, and my indoor vegetable garden, this is the recipe for that.
20190202_122016.jpg
I use a 20oz cup to scoop.
10 scoops of my coco mix
20 scoops used FFoF
2 scoops compost
1 scoop EWC
4Tsp HFFF 5-8-4
4Tsp Bone Meal
8 Tsp Azomite
4Tsp Humic Acid
4Tsp Green Sand
I let it cook for about a month. (forgot about it)
The plan is to top the soil with HFFF if needed after Veg.
It was an experiment and still is. I have two plants in it, and my garden.
This is in no way something I would recommend, I'm just messing around with it.

This is a rooted clone of the Purple Urkle #1 (Ape Origin) I have in Bloom. It is a Mendocino Purple Kush phenotype.
I'm thinking about using this as the mother for The Ultimate Growing Competition. This plant might turn dark purple/black late flower. If it does, I'm thinking of running a tent full of it. Decisions, decisions...
I'm getting it ready to veg out. Too bad it can't smoke, or we'd have a great time.

For the transplant into this 2gal bag I took Dyna-Gro's advice, and went with a nute mix they recommended to me. Here it is:
3ml K-L-N
3ml Pro-TeKt
3ml Foliage-Pro
1gal water
I used the gallon to pot this, and water in a couple other transplants.

Fruity Jack #1 or Jack el Frutero (Philosopher Seeds)

600w MH 6000k
Water Temp: 66f
Air Temp: 71f
RH: 50%
pH: 6
ppm: 400
Water capacity: 50gal
Dyna-Gro Nutrients

I pulled the plug on the SBG, they were going to be way behind and I didn't want to wait in veg for them, so I'm just running these four. The little one was late to root, but is starting to liven up.

Outside with the hookers lol
I didn't want to toss it but since I'm not really emotionally attached to the auto, I've decided to put this light on her 24/7 and see what happens with a few $1 bulbs. Because of the light cycle she has to live in the alley. Kind of an experiment I don't really care about, lol. I'm just going to refer to it as 'The Auto' in all future posts, lol.
The bulbs are 17w 3000K 1600lm right now it's under 2 bulbs, so 34w on basically 1 sqft.

I have a pretty sweet RO system, but it isn't running right now, and hasn't been for a while. I have to wait until my friend has time to come fix it. So, for the past few months I've been growing with tap water. My tap water is 9.3 and 400-600ppm, it's been about 460 lately. I have no clue what is in it. I can go on the website, but haven't. My bloom tent grow has been tap water from seed. The last 3/4 of the grow before that was tap, too. My RDWC, all tap.

I've been using Dyna-Gro and came up with a dose that I use as standard now.
Here is my Bloom feeding schedule after about week 2 with my hard water:
5 gallon bucket full of tap water
9ml Pro-TeKt
9ml Bloom
4.5ml Foliage-Pro
4.5ml Mag-Pro

That usually takes me to about 800-900ppm
The pH is then about 6.8. I then pH it to 6 with my homemade pH down, and that usually adds about 30-40ppm
I then pour that into my dripper reservoir.
After week five I stop the Foliage-Pro.
When I think I'm about a week out I just use pH'd tap water. I wouldn't call it a flush, because there has to be plenty still to eat in the coco.
This time I am going to use their Dyna-Flush in the last week with the tap water. Based on how I have been dosing now, and looking at their schedule, I think I am going to do 10ml of it into 5gal.

My RO should be done in time for the competition. That's not good, lol. I will have the RO dialed in, but won't have feeding with the RO dialed in at all. I might run tap water in the comp, lol. I guess if I get it done early enough I can test it out at half dose of the schedule and see how it goes.
I don't think I have a shot at winning, but I don't want to get clowned on either. Hahaha

Hahaha love it! Also it will give you a way to test out those little led bulb style in a grow situation
That's true. It should work in that spot, so I guess I'll flower it out with those bulbs and see. I'll just keep it in the bag, so it's not going to be a monster or anything. I can add more bulbs.
OH! It is in that organic soil I mentioned earlier, so I'll see if I can just water it. I had planned on top dressing with HFFF 5-8-4 early to mid flower when I made the soil though, so I'll be doing that. It's had nothing but water from the beginning, and honestly I don't even pH it, I figured that the soil would buffer it for me? Seems to be working.

Not much of a difference, but enough to make me happy.
It should catch up and be fine.

Cant believe those girls are only at day 24 in flower, 1000 watts of HPS, really does the trick, only downside to that size of lights are the costs IMO,

How much does 1 kilowatt of power acutally cost in your area/here I pay 40 cents pr 1 kilowatt...

$.08 per kwh
$.05 in the winter

Damn, where do you live?

Really cheaper in the winter, wish we had those term here, cheers...
I look at it this way. In my area, after a certain amount of electricity in the winter, the rate then drops to $.05 per kwh. I hit that $.05 even when I didn't grow. Since my grow is in addition to the electricity my house uses anyway, I throw the grow electricity on the top, and pay $.05 kwh in the winter to grow.
I am spoiled by winter in my grow room in just about every way. Summer....my enemy.
