Ok first off this is by no means a tutorial merely clips from my notebooks. I like to play aroumd in the garden to see if I can find something to simplify any process necccesarry to keep me perpetual without compromise, there's always room for improvement. Anyway.

I won't go into how to clone, there are 1000's of tut's for that. I have been playing with my cloning process for about a year now and this is what I've discovered, a couple are blatanly obvious.

1. Moisture content: cut your clones 3-12 hours after watering, side by side the ones cut dry took almost 3 more days to root, but more interestingly the water content made a big difference in their final appearance, the clones cut after water were still healthy green when rooted and as mentioned rooted 3 days faster, a big difference if your on a tight schedule. No more waiting for clones to recover before they actually grow. These results were the same 5x in a row.

2 ALWAYS do a ssc (second submerged cut) this is a good practice to develop. Ever cut a clone apply your hormone and leave only to come back to a limp clone? U didn't do a second cut under water did ya? the objective (obviously) is to avoid introducing air into he meristem. As well, before the second cut is made your clones should NEVER be turned upside-down. This is almost a sure fire way to end up with a tray of limp cuttings.

Vitamin-b: its the shit, end of story. I use juicy roots, I take it and put it into a soda bottle lid and mix in 3 drops of vitamin-b with my cloning solution, this will reduce the stress levels (give to mom as well the water before cutting and shell almost not know what happened) in turn meaning less "wtf time" and more rooting. Ultimately leading to healthy clones in a fraction of the time.

Tempurature: it matters, as well all know. In 3 test (that was really all it took) it became very obvious to me how important tempurate really is for cloning. At 78 degrees roots were seen in 4-7 days
At 73 degrees roots took 14 days avg! And at 83, well. Only one looked good by day 7.
Clipping leaf tips: is not neccesarry. Whil I did notice roots a tad quicker it was nothing profound for me at least and I found that once rooted there is a stall in the plants, my guess is from cutting the tips of its energy source, how would you feel? Lol.

Scarrification. For those not familiar its the proccess of scarring the stem of your cutting to expose more potential root sites. I have found this technique to be very strain dependant. With a softer stemmed strain such as strawberry cough (excellent cloner roots in 3 days) its not only unneccesarry but seems to be too much for her and cuttings have trouble surviving. Where as with my ssh (a very strong branching and woody stem) it is absolutely crucial. I can not get roots without scarring this strain. So feel the consistensies and see how this one works for you. I went from one out of every 50, yes 50 ssh rooting to 95% with scarring ( note that this strain is a BITCH to clone, the only strain I've ever had clones of die on me aside from the experimentals).
I'm sure I have plenty more, and if you guys have any techniques or heard or use something that you think makes all the difference, anything. Lmk and ill be happy to document it. I appologise for the lack of pics. I will be doing this all again and recording it for youtube, I will post.a link in the coming months to all my little recorded experiments. Until then

Thanks man. Ill get ya back when I get to a pc. I know I know. I really NEED to set up a vid cam in the room cause I am HORRIBLE about documenting. I have it all on notebook for sure, overlydetailed in that department. I'd like to get a polaroid so I can snap a few pics everytime and put them in each page I make a note on. In a few weeks I will be cutting more clones and ill make a massive effort to fully document so no-one has to go off my "heresay" cause we all know a pic is worth 1000 words. Til then :joint:

Can't wait. I love projects that involve my favorite plant, good luck with everything.

Thanks man, ill be starting sunday I think. U guys are gonna have to egg me on though, I'm really bad at this kinda stuff which is bad in itself as its just heresay otherwise :/
