I use Tap water. Let it sit in a big garbage can for two days... I mix my solutions in 5gal buckets. After I add nutes I PH it... my tap is 8 ph.. but theirs no need to PH water until you put nutes in it.. Unless your not adding nutes... then just PH it

pH 6.2 to 6.7 is best to ensure there is no nutrient lock-up occurring...

This PH thing is up in the air!
My huge healthy outdoor plants
do just fine and thrive at 7.2 PH
tap water and Fox Farm soil.

I use lime in my mix (dolomite), and don't pH anything. Especially, like kevin, the water coming out of my hose or tap.

Why complicate the simple?

6.2-6.8.

If you go above or below this you are making your plants susceptible to nutrient lock or disease.

In the book “Growing Great MJ” page 125 has a chart with all the nutz and at what PH levels they are absorbed by the plant. It shows the nutz before they get locked out at either the low or high end. When you PH lock a plant you cannot lock out everything, just the high range nutz or the low range nutz. According to the book 5.5-6.2 allows all the nuts from both the high and low range to be absorbed by the roots.
