Peoples experiences with 4100k

Hey guys and gals,

Ive just constructed a new grow box, and this time am having a try using cfls. However locally i could not source anything close to 6500k bulbs locally, so i had to settle for some 2700k and some 4100k. My small box (25cm x 33cm x53cm) only runs 3 23w bulbs in it and at the moment is setup for 2x 4100k and 1x 2700k for veg. While i know that the 4100k spectrum is less than ideal for both stages of the plants light cycle im just wondering if anybody has had any luck with using them? Im only planning a 2 week veg period before flowering when i will change up the bulbs again to 2x 2700 and 1x 4100 at this point in time, but im wondering if anybody has had any adequate results using 4100's... Im assuming im going to have to get some 6500k bulbs asap for best growth but am just curious now more than anything.

Cheers, Steve

Maybe look for some 5000k cfl's , Maybe run 2 5000k's & 1 of yer 4100k's for a better spectrum & run them entirely through till harvest time , Food fer thought .

Cheers for your advice mate, I ended up finding some 30w 6500k bulbs so im just gonna swap the 4100s over to them for veg, and run one of them with 2 2700k bulbs for flower
